Barrel Kissed Manhattan:
2 oz. Old Forester Classic 86 Proof Bourbon
1 oz. Carpano Antica Formula (Italian Vermouth)
2 dashes of Barrel Aged Vanilla Bitters (aged 2 weeks with charred hickory wood)
Brandy Cured Cherries
TO MAKE INFUSION: Combine bourbon, vermouth and bitters in an air
tight glass jar and allow to sit in a cool dark place for 2 weeks. Strain through
cheesecloth and rebottle. Keep mixture in refrigerator until ready to serve.
TO MAKE BRANDY CURED CHERRIES: Cover pitted maraschino cherries in
brandy and sugar for 2 weeks in an air tight glass jar.
TO MAKE COCKTAIL: Pour infusion in chilled glass and garnish with a brandy
cured cherry. Ice is optional.
